This Year for my Christmas decorating, I wanted to go with a less store-bought feel and a moreĀ handmade feel. To do this, have a been gathering random things that I think are pretty and transforming them into awesome holiday DIY projects. Check out this wine glass centerpiece and this awesome Christmas candle holder!

For this project you will need:
A Bottle
White paint or frost paint
Paint the Bottle
Start with a bottle that is skinny on top and wider on the bottom. Spray paint the entire bottle with white paint (or if you want it to be more iridescent you can use frost paint). I used a solid white paint.
Add Wings
For the wings, I used burlap flags. You can use pre-cut flags that are the right size or you can cut your own. Hot glue them to the back of the bottle where the wings would go.
Decorate the Bottle
To decorate the Angel a little bit more, I decided to write the word “joy” going down the center. I used glitter foam stickers and stuck them on using a little bit of extra hot glue. I also added a few white foam sticker snowflakes!
Add a Face and Hair
I also decided that I wanted my angel to have a face and some hair. This would have looked pretty good plain as well. You can decorate your angel however you would like with as little detail or as much detail as you like.
For the hair, I used twisted gold cord and hot glued strands on the top of the bottle. There are many different materials you could use for hair, such as tinsel, floral pieces, or pinecones. Use your imagination and create your own look!
To draw on the face, I used a skinny sharpie. Once again, use your imagination and create whatever you envision!
Add Some Sparkle!
I used sequin strips and placed a row on the top and bottom of the bottle. IĀ also added some of the sequins to the top and bottoms of the wings.Ā Finally, I placed a small sequin over her eyes.
Add Lights!
For the finishing touch, I added fairy lights into the bottle to give Angel a little glow. You can make this angel in any style you would like, simply by substituting the different materials that you use to decorate her.Ā You could also add a wire ring to the top to make this a unique picture or card holder.
I hope you enjoyed this cute little Christmas angel that is so easy to make! We would love to see your angel projects on Instagram #BathtubArtsy. Be sure to check out our video and subscribe to our blog for more DIY inspiration!
