5 Amazing DIY Christmas Craft Ideas That Will Bring that Holiday Glow

It’s officially December!  I can’t believe how fast time is flying! I have so much I want to share with you for Christmas, and only a little time left!  In honor of the first day of the month, I have collected some amazing DIY Christmas craft ideas for the holidays that will turn your house into a holiday haven with only a little effort.

Interchangeable Wreath Decorating

 

Supplies:

Plain Wreath

Ribbon

Floral Accents (Or reindeer and small sign)

Timer Lights

 

The first idea I have for you is to turn a plain old thrift store wreath into an elegant and show-stopping Christmas item. I did this to two wreaths in my house this year. All you will need is a plain wreath, some ribbon, floral pieces and some lights.  In previous years, I was all about sparkle and I added a lot of glittery floral pieces into the wreaths, but this year, I went simple and only added few things.

First, you will want to decide what look or color scheme you would like.  Next,  you will pick out corresponding ribbon and accents. I went with gold accents and plaid ribbon.  Next, I added two gold reindeer to the bottom and side of my wreath with a little floral wire.  I then added a Merry Christmas sign that I had lying around on the top.

 

For the ribbon, I simply draped the ribbon loosely around the wreath and tied a bow on the side. For the finishing touch, I added some timer lights (which are my new favorite thing for wreaths hanging on walls) and I hung it up above our downstairs entry.

I like the simplicity of this project,  you can change your wreath’s look from year to year with minimal cost and work. It is better than buying a new wreath every year and it can be completely customized to your style!
