I’m so excited to be nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award! This comes as quite a surprise, since my blog is so brand new, but truly makes me feel like I am on the right track. Blogging requires quite a bit of time and patience, and the learning curve can be steep! Receiving this award is an honor, and each blogger who receives it should be proud of what they have accomplished. There will always be new platforms to learn, connections to be made, and more stories to tell. Take this award, wear it with pride, and keep building your blog.

What is Paper Plate Lifestyle and who is Melissa Chandler?

Melissa is a wife to the most amazing Hubs, mother to two wonderful littles, daughter, sister, and friend. She currently lives in the suburbs of Chicago, and is enjoying as much outside time as possible before the snow flies (if it flies this year!). She loves any time spent as a family, cooking, trying new recipes, and DIY projects.

Paper Plate Lifestyle was born out of my need to create! I have always had a plethora of crafty hobbies (that tend to take up way too much space in totes in our basement), and needed something new that did not require tote storage space. Enter blogging! I have so many stories to tell, thoughts to share, and recipes to try!

Her goal is to incorporate a meal planning service to help busy parents provide good, nutritious food for their families. By taking some of the research & planning off their plate, so to speak, she hopes to encourage family meal time. She truly believes it’s so important to sit down together a few nights each week, slow down, and connect with each other.

A Bit More About Us:

Arthur and Cassondra are a husband and wife team who have always loved to create. Whether it be art, writing, crafting or re-purposing, there always seems to be a new DIY project going on!  They are parents to two beautiful boys and are expecting another baby in Januarry!  Life is busy and blogging is a fun way to combine business with pleasure!

bathtubringsandartsythings.com was just recently started in August 2017. Their goal is to inspire other people to do it yourself.  Teaching and inspiring others to be creative will not only help to save the planet of resources, but also encourage power and happiness among those who learn the power of their own two hands. Once you see how an ordinary object can be transformed in to something amazing, you will never go back to being cookie cutter again!

My Advice to New Bloggers:

My advice to new bloggers is to learn what you can and find a support network. Blogging takes time and patience and it is something you must work on. Never give-up and keep going, even if it is slow at first. Give yourself time to make mistakes and learn from them.
